Glasgow to Aviemore

Before leaving Glasgow for Aviemore we had to go to the 'goth shops' for Billy - determined to have something goth from our Scottish trip. He found plenty of things he liked and cost us plenty too!

I had to find Boots to get my prescription - yes folks in proper Tamera fashion I have managed to get ill in first couple of days of the holiday. Nothing serious that a script for Quinine couldn't fix! God Bless the NHS - a phone call, a nurse, a GP, a prescription - sorted! I'll never complain about paying my national insurance...

It rained and rained, and poured, and chucked it down for hours! Oh to have a summer holiday in Britain!

Anyway eventually we got off, on our way to Aviemore - a beautiful journey - staying off the main roads.

W found a lovely little place for a break and a bite - "Falls of Dochart" - we all had a go at saying that with our most sinister voices - and decided it is best said that way!

Before venturing towards the falls, we found a lovely little tea rooms and bar across the road. Opting for the tea rooms, we all found something yummy to drink and eat. We decided to sit in the quiet lounge type area, lovely comfy sofas - very comfy. All of a sudden the waitress strutted across the room in what seemed to be a bit of a huff, turned on the large TV immediately next to us, and strutted off again to the other end of the room where the serving area was. Then she left the room. The TV had this humming noise, very loud and very annoying - far louder than the actual volume of the TV. After about 10 mins with no-one watching it and no-one even in the room, we switched it off - much relief! She eventually came back into the room and asked why the TV was off - we explained it was annoying! She huffed over and turned it off at the button.

Billy and Henry decided this behaviour could not go unpunished, and turned the batteries around in the handset. She's probably still trying to get it working now.....

Over to the falls - very beautiful. Richard have strict instructions that we should all be very careful because it would be slippery and we certainly did not need a trip to A&E...

Oh well - it was just a dirty bum and nothing broken!!!! Gave us all a bloody good laugh anyway!

We arrived in Aviemore at about 5:30pm, checked into our ajoining rooms (lovely) - Billy got linked up to the net while the rest of us unpacked - and then Hen & Dickie headed off for a swim.

Had a bit of a meadiocre meal in the restaurant and decided we'll be using the Bistro next evening!
